Manuscript Submission
Fees for Services
Fees can only be determined after the
project parameters are agreed upon. A
brief examination of the material to be
indexed or edited is often necessary. Fees
are dependent on the complexity of the
individual project and on the services
requested, but in general can be expected
to fall between $3.00 and $8.00 per page.
Indexing
AWPS creates indexes that make your documents more
accessible to your readers. Using technical training, skill
developed through experience and powerful dedicated
indexing software, we choose relevant search terms and
appropriate cross-references to create access points that
will lead your readers quickly to the information they seek.
Potential buyers, librarians, teachers and reviewers will use
your index while deciding to buy, adopt or recommend your
book. Don't miss out on a competitive sales advantage.
Provide your readers with a professional index created by
Allegheny Writing & Publishing Services.
Editing
AWPS can assure that your manuscript conforms to the
house style your publisher expects. We'll check for lapses
in grammar, usage, and diction without interfering with your
voice as an author. We'll let you know about possible
inconsistencies and discrepancies, giving your manuscript
the professional appearance you seek.
Proofreading
AWPS can assist your publishing process with professional
proofreading. Don't make the mistake of depending solely
on your desk-top publishing program to catch
embarrassing errors in your final copy. Using standard
proofreaders marks, we can communicate with the
typesetter in a language they will understand and
appreciate.
